Dior creates unique, precious timepieces

The beautiful line, born in 2010, continues to grow. In tribute to the House of Dior and its infinite palette of colors, Dior Horlogerie launched ten new one-of-a-kind watches, numbered from 6 to 15. Made of most precious materials, each timepiece is powered by a Zenith’s high-end automatic movement that incorporates a stunning mother-of-pearl oscillating weight. By revealing this beautifully decorated mechanism through a sapphire crystal case-back, Dior provided visual delight on both sides of the case.

The cases of Dior’s breathtaking timepieces are crafted either of white, pink or yellow gold and adorned with precious stones, such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, amethysts… Dials, bezels, mechanisms, straps, they all emanate with glamour, elegance and feminine beauty. Besides, every strap comes in pleated taffeta, with a back-side hand-sewn with the label “Christian Dior Paris”.

From vermillion to carmine red, a “Dior Pièce Unique n°6” watch comes in different shades that finish with grey, highlighting the shimmering effect of moiré silk. The dial combines a white mother-of-pearl set, adorned with 105 diamonds and wonderful black mother-of-pearl from Tahiti, while a white gold, 33mm case incorporates a bezel and horns, completely set with 25 baguette-cut rubies and 50 spinels. The self-winding Elite calibre by Zenith comprises a white gold oscillating weight with engraved Tahiti mother-of-pearl and provides around 50 hours of power reserve.

Dior Pièce Unique n°7 presents an entire spectrum of vivid colors – from the midnight blue of 72 baguette-cut sapphires that adore the bezel and horns to the icy blue of the engraved mother-of-pearl dial, set in 173 diamonds. Finally, the crown of the watch is set with a rose-cut diamond. The 33 mm case, crafted in white gold can be matched with several adorable bracelets, since Dior made a choice between a blue taffeta and pleated black tulle haute couture strap, a smooth blue taffeta strap and a midnight blue alligator strap.

The dial on Dior Pièce Unique n°8 watch comes in gentle white mother-of-pear which discreet and diaphanous charm is nicely complemented with scattered diamonds and framed by five different shades of baguette cut aquamarine on the bezel and horns. The same spectacle can be seen through the sapphire crystal case-back that reveals the mechanism incorporating a white gold oscillating weight, with engraved mother-of-pearl, coated with diamonds. The watch is available with both blue taffeta and pleated light gray tulle haute couture strap and a smooth silver satin strap.

A pastel monochrome palette of “Dior Pièce Unique n°10” watch, containing baguette lilac amethysts underlined by diamonds and smoked quartz, covers its  elegant pink mother-of-pearl and agate dial. Perfect harmony continues on the white gold case and the bezel which is entirely set with baguette-cut lilac amethysts. Whether you combine it with a pink satin and pleated light gray tulle haute couture strap, a smooth silver satin strap or a dark gray alligator strap, you will have a stunning piece of art on the wrist.If you have thought that this is pretty much all, you were wrong. True highlights from the collection are just waiting to be discovered. “Dior Pièce Unique n°11” with its strong green and yellow lights demonstrates the brand’s high expertise in the field of design and watchmaking. The pink gold case of the watch incorporates a bezel, set with sparkling baguette-cut tsavorite garnets that nicely mark a deep jade dial. It is adorned by diamonds and sapphires and framed with a pink gold flange set with emeralds. Striking green color goes perfectly with a dazzling yellow taffeta strap.

“Dior Pièce Unique n°12” timepiece shows one of the brand’s favorite color combinations. Its turquoise dial is set in the concentric circles of white and fancy yellow diamonds, while its yellow gold case incorporates a bezel, adorned with baguette-cut pink sapphires. A pleated black satin strap, a smooth black satin strap or a semi-matte black alligator strap provide a perfect contrast. Through the sapphire crystal case-back you can enjoy a magnificent Zenith’s Elite calibre with yellow gold and turquoise oscillating weight set with white and yellow diamonds.

“Dior Pièce Unique n°13” offers the same adorable design, but with a unique harmony of warm greens and blues. The white mother-of-pearl dial is streaked with blue sapphires that match baguette-cut sapphires of a pink gold bezel. Furthermore, the dial is underlined with green emeralds that match the color of a taffeta strap. (A shiny green alligator strap is also available.)

This is one of my favorite watches from the collection. “Dior Pièce Unique n°14” represents both – fire and ice. Its cognac mother-of-pearl dial hypnotizes with its mosaic of smoked quartz and diamonds, while baguette-cut brown garnet bezel complete this masterpiece. For the final touch of feminine beauty, there is an immaculate white taffeta strap.

The last jewel in the collection – “Dior Pièce Unique n°15” perfectly finishes Dior’s fairy tale. Its feminine dial with an amazing combination of pink, green and white mother-of-pearl reveals an ethereal floral pattern, enhanced with pink sapphires and chromifere tourmalines.
