Stars hit Rock of Ages movie premier
Rock of Ages held its music movie premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Friday night (June 8, 2012). Featured below are some of the leading female cast members at the red carpet premiere. The movie musical features some of the biggest and brightest celebs – and they all rock the red carpet with the 80′s crazy vibe and great music.
Malin Akerman in Reem Acra
Malin Akerman joined Julianne Hough and Catherine Zeta-Jones on the red carpet Friday evening for the ‘Rock Of Ages’ world premiere, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. Dressed in a Reem Acra gown inspired by the Fall 2012 collection, the Swedish actress showed off a lot of skin. Her black gown with cut out details, silver metallic panels and a hip-high split is a very risqué look for Malin.
From the side the dress appears to be held together by a single thread. God help her if someone had stepped on her train. Black Giuseppe Zanotti mesh sandals, an Edie Parker black clutch and side-swept wavy locks completed her look. Photo credit: Style.com & Getty
Julianne Hough in Kaufmanfranco
Julianne Hough joined Catherine Zeta-Jones on the red carpet Friday evening for the ‘Rock Of Ages’ world premiere, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. The actress/dancer wore a Kaufmanfranco dress. On this occasion rocked a citrine silk crepe bias cut column dress from her go-to designer. I love the color and the nude panel detailing, but I have to question the lopsided top-knot. An orange-red lip color and Stephen Webster completed her look. Photo credit: Getty
Mary J Blige
Mary J Blige joined her cast-mates on the red carpet Friday evening for the ‘Rock Of Ages’ world premiere, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. I love Mary. I feel like I have done all my life, but this dress with asymmetrical cuts is unforgiving making her look lumpy in all the wrong places. The dress appears to be too tight because of the ruched detailing (or maybe it’s just too tight), plus I find the necklace to be very unnecessary. Her statement earrings and 40s hairstyle are the only things I like about this look. Photo credit: Getty
Catherine Zeta-Jones in Zuhair Murad
Catherine Zeta-Jones attended the Friday night premiere for ‘Rock Of Ages’, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.
I held of putting together the Best Dress Of The Week poll in anticipation of this premiere, believing CJZ would give us a worthy entry. I was wrong. Dressed in a Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 one-sleeve cocktail dress, apparently the Welsh actress thought this premiere was a fancy dress party, and she went as JLo. She styled her nude lace dress featuring a delicate, black lace embroidered overlay and an asymmetrical hemline with black Elie Saab sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
