Calvin Klein wraps kids for the winter
Calvin Klein cuts a great pair of jeans for kids and these were well showcased in this show, set against a brick wall backdrop (and the soundtrack of Pink Floyd We Don’t Need No Education blaring out) while six young boys with their backs to the audience lurked on the podiums.
Thick-knit scarves and floppy hats accessorized the Calvin basics; new shapes had ruffled knitted sleeves and tight-fitting shirts had contrasting white front tabs and cuffs. Lurex was used for simple loose dresses and pattern was provided by a dotty print of puffed skirts teamed with grey padded jackets.
For boys, dark grey cord was shaped into tailored blazers and skinny trousers, navy wool pea coats had grey patches and toning striped scarves supplied the wrapped-up warm look. New details for girls were seen with the copper studded shiny decoration on the jackets of knitted cardigans which were teamed with jersey jodphur pants. Boys can also keep warm in a knitted twinset with a horizontal stripe band across the chest and sleeves matched to both parts. Trousers were skinny, sometimes super skinny, very Rock Star pants and knits and shirts were tightly cut to the body as well for a super slim silhouette altogether.–juniormagazine.co.uk
